The fact that professional atheletes make millions and millions of dollars a year while we cut education at every turn should be a pretty good indication of where we are. Mind you, professional atheletes who have a free college degree but can't put a sentence together. If we invested half the money we waste on entertainment into our future, we'd be unstoppable.

Having been in the education and training business for over 40, and having two graduate degrees in the field, let me point out that there is not one single valid, peer-reviewed study that shows a positive correlation between spending and quality of education.

A classic example is Kansas City, where a Federal Judge took over the school system, mandated tax increases, spent billions, created the finest educational facilities you ever saw -- and the quality of education declined compared to surrounding school districts.

Everything the government has done has proven counter-productive.

Is for what we do, we pull our kids and grandkids out of the Public Schols and send them to the good schools.
