So I’m considering what to get for a Ruger 22/45 .22LR. I’m thinking about the Gemtech GM-22 or the Sig Sauer SRD22X. Does anybody have any experience with these? Other suppressor options are welcome. Thanks in advance!

I have discussed this at length with my buddy at the LGS.. and we both agree it is useless and a basic waste of money to supress a .22 pistol, rifle used for hunting is a different story, as you want to be as quiet as can be, and a supressed rifle in any caliber for hunting acheaves this.
My father used a newer S&W M&P22 compact with a compensator for rapid target shooting. the compensator kept the little rise it did have to a near o, aiding in quicker target aquisition.
Whats your primary use for the firearm?

Let me guess you and your buddy haven't shot a 22 cal suppressed pistol?
Suppressing 22's is the best place to start with suppressors in my opinion. It is so much more enjoyable shooting pistols, bolt actions, semi auto's suppressed. Especially when training young kids on the basics with no ear protection needed. Especially, when one can get a 22 suppressor for $400-500 including tax stamp.
Yeah all the above quite "useless."
but thats just MO...
Apparently you missed this part of my post!!
In MO... nothing in.22lr requires ear protection or silencers... I have shot a silenced .22lr rifle and pistol. it's just not necessary IMO!!!
Dude!... I get it, you disagree, ....Move on!
I have no experience with either of those two suppressors. Let me say, though, that a suppressed 22/45 is a TON fun! I have a Dead Air Mask on mine.So I’m considering what to get for a Ruger 22/45 .22LR. I’m thinking about the Gemtech GM-22 or the Sig Sauer SRD22X. Does anybody have any experience with these? It would be easy to think "In MO" means you are in Missouri. "IMO" is the generally understood acronym for In My Opinion".In MO... nothing in.22lr requires ear protection or silencers... I have shot a silenced .22lr rifle and pistol. it's just not necessary IMO!!!
