Shocked and saddened by RC's passing. Always generous with his knowledge and experience, he gave of himself to others.

I'm sure Bull has passed this thread to RC's family so they can see how much RC helped people he didn't even know, but took the time to share his knowledge and kindness.

Sorry to hear this. As so many others have said, I learned a lot from RC's posts. I consider myself lucky to have benefited from his knowledge and wisdom and I pray that he is at peace...

I always knew rcmodel would know the answer to any question I could come up with. His presence and knowledge will be missed tremendously.

Wow. Condolences to, & prayers for all the family. Life is so short. RC will truly be missed... May he never run out of primers.

Thank you, Bull for letting us know. I joined THR in 2006 and RC was always there and he was one of those people you thought would always be around.
Bull, you are truly blessed to have known him the way you did. My condolences
to his family. I am so sorry. I don't get on here as much as I would like, but I
will always remember RC. It's funny, I always pictured him as an old crusty man
with a huge heart and a wealth of knowledge.

I don't know what to say, I am very saddened by the passing of a man I never met, how he shared his knowledge reminds me of my father who passed 7 years ago
RIP RC

Please add another mourner of someone who will be greatly missed. RC ALWAYS told the truth, and what he said could be taken to the bank...even if it was an opinion, because you just knew he'd formed it by experience and careful thought. I've heard they have some awesome ranges in Heaven.:)

My condolences to his family. His presence will be missed. I doubt you will find a reloader who didn't learn something after reading his posts.

Been away most of the weekend but his daughter in law just got ahold of me with the sad news.
I have had the honor and pleasure to know Richard a bit over the last couple of years, (once we figured out that we lived close to each other), and while I did not know him long I feel as if I've lost an old friend. He was a fine gentleman and a heck of a nice guy. His knowledge and generosity should be an inspiration to us all.

I will add my regrets and sympathy to all the others. RC left an amazing legacy of wisdom. His willingness to help us all has been a gift we can never repay.

Thank you for some of the history behind this wonderful member of our community.

Sorry to hear the passing of such a great THR member. I have enjoyed and benefitted greatly from the wisdom he shared with us. My thoughts are with his family.

Wow. That is sad news indeed. I knew he was taking care of his wife full time, he mentioned it in a post once a long time ago.

I used to joke that RC wasn't even a real person, that he was a machine to which all knowable facts relating to guns and reloading had been uploaded. He was an extraordinary resource.

I'll certainly miss his presence on THR. I feel quite sad for his wife and family as well, there is no easy way to deal with any of this.

i can't tell you how many times I've opened a thread to answer a question for someone, only to see that RCModel had been there already. Without even reading it I new the OP had gotten the best answer already...so I wouldn't even post once I saw his name.
