RMR discount code

I take the discount and 'give most of it back' by purchasing the optional shipping insurance. Almost a wash, but nice to have if ever needed.***

(*** FWIW, RMR wraps 'em up good. I've never lost a bullet or an order yet! )

RMR is pretty much the best deal in town WITHOUT the discount. Most of the time I don’t even use it.
Agreed. I have not been on the forum long enough to ask for the code, but I was an RMR customer long before joining here and will continue to be so. I have ordered about 15K 9mm from them this year alone. They were a go-to source during the recent shortages, they have great regular prices and seem to be run by folks who care.

The only problem I ever had was when the mail person stuffed 2k 124gr .355 boxed bullets in my mail box. o_O It was very hard to get out due to the weight and very little room around it. It must have been a sub since my mail person drives in to make the delivery for most of my packages unless there small.

TO ALL: Jake, owner of RMR requested that we consider new members to have around 50 post count before sharing the discount code unless you have been a long time member who has been lurking based on post count/"joined" date.

These are not my/THR rules rather Jake's request.

Jake generously offered the THR discount code for THR members in the early days of RMR and continues to honor the code after all these years.

So post away and 50 post count should be reached in no time.

BTW, OpticsPlanet offers 5% THR discount on $50+ orders with THRFORUM code.

Brad (RIP) from MBC also offered 5% THR discount but not sure whether Jo Ann will continue to offer the discount after his passing - https://www.thehighroad.org/index.p...let-discount-code.854493/page-3#post-11461995
And looks like MBC/Jo Ann is continuing to honor THR discount code (PM a member for the code).

I’m new to loading myself. I like the MBC discount alot and just ordered my 4th box of 2k bullets. I don’t think I’ll hit 50 posts for quite some time (though I’m 2% closer now ) , but I can respect the intent of the request. I may or may not order from RMR regardless. Not sure. Right now cast bullets are working well for me.

Start new threads outlining your experience loading and shooting MBC bullets and you will have 50 posts in quick time. ;)

I’m a fairly new shooter too. I tend to go all-n when pick up a new hobby. It’s going to take me a while to get to the point where I can understand and articulate the results I see from hand loading & shooting in a way that provides value to this group. I can add to the “what have you done lately” thread once In a while, but in many other cases I’d feel like a toddler telling stories at the grownup table.

Welcome aboard and don't be shy. Share your thoughts and experiences. You never know when you might come across something that will aid all of us. We all started some where!!! None of us are to old to learn a new trick!!! That's why I'm here.

God Bless & enjoy shooting & loading as we all do!!!

RMR was the only place I could backorder 62 grain FMJs at the start of the pandemic. And it didn't take long to get them. It did take a while for 2K of the 124 grain MPRs... worth the wait knowing you'd get them.

It is often this "transition" phase where many "Aha" moments get established to move a new reloader to more seasoned reloader.

Spoiler Alert: You will eventually learn this but the goal of moving from a new "reloader" producing rounds that just go bang to "handloader" producing more consistent rounds that optimize accuracy is reducing/eliminating as many reloading variables as possible. (And of course, there are shooting variables too)

This journey is the key to our hobby and passion for some.

And new reloaders asking questions and sharing their journey through this "transition" phase is often most valuable to other new reloaders and even seasoned reloaders hone their craft of reloading/handloading. So your "toddler telling stories" may end up being greater contribution to this wonderful forum.

This is very good advice. I've had many questions come up over the past few years that I would find an answer to through some Google searches on this forum. There are some very knowledgeable people on this forum but the number of people willing to share is important too.
