Rock Island Armory Steel Frame 9mm

I am looking for an inexspensive (not cheap) 9mm and I was looking at a CZ 75B. I noticed Armscor / Rock Island Armory now sells them for slightly less than $400. I have a RIA 1911 and it has functioned perfectly. Plus, I have read tons of posts praising their customer service. Anybody have any experience with these clones? Should I spend the extra $100 for a CZ? I am assuming the Armscor / RIA model is manufactured side-by-side with the EAA Witness, but imported by Armscor.

One drawback to the Armscor is the 9 rd mag capacity vs 16 from CZ. I guess it depends on what you want to shoot with the 9mm. I prefer the higher cap mag.
On the other hand, since you already shoot a RIA 1911 you wouldn't have to 'relearn' the gun characteristics. Like ant other thread you're going to get everyone's personal opinion.

What do you want to shoot 'AT' with the 9? range targets, bad guys, competition targets? All would make a huge difference.

The 75B is a very good range gun and can be a good "production" class (10 rds) gun. CZ also has a good reputation for customer support. I've had one problem and had great response from CZ-USA..

You're right. I didn't notice the difference in mag capacity. Are the mags interchangeable?

I am assuming the Armscor / RIA model is manufactured side-by-side with the EAA Witness, but imported by Armscor.

The two pistols are identical, but the Tangfolio offering isn't called a "Witness" any more. These are Tangfolios older design, not their new one.

Armscor is manufacturing them for Tangfolio now. They are sold under the Tangfolio "Force" brand in Europe. Armscor has the import rights for the USA.

These are identical to the older Tangfolio line and the Cz75 mags do interchange (along with the mags of most of the 25 other manufacturers of Cz75 clones)
