I have not seen a Rockchucker Supreme press in person.
My question is: It appears that the spent primers drop thru the back of the ram where they are caught in a small container. The new primers are inserted into the front of the ram using the primer arm. When ejecting the spent primer how is it directed to the back side of the ram?
Thanks for any insight.

The machining on the primer discharge side is biased towards the primer arm side, so anything that drops from the top is channeled towards the primer discharge side.
There is also an area just below the shell holder where the ram is machined out to allow the primer arm to 'share' the same area the spent primer travels through before it's diverted rearward.

Thanks SKgreen! That makes sense. It appears that it may be possible for a spent primer to pop out the front but that it is unlikely.

I never use my Rockchucker to seat primers. It has enough power to crush them so that they misfire. Also, you don't get a chance to clean the primer pocket, which is another possible cause of a misfire. It's best to use a hand held primer tool, such as a Lee (which I prefer) or an RCBS. These have nowhere near the leverage of the press.

You still get a primer that falls on the floor or bench every now and then. But over all the primer catcher works pretty good.
Yep, that's been my experience. I keep a 5 gallon plastic bucket on the floor under my press to catch the spent primers that miss the press's primer catcher.
It seems like the primer catcher on my old Rockchucker worked a little better than the primer catcher on my Rockchucker Supreme. But maybe I'm just getting old and don't remember.;)
