I've searched the web and can't find this exact ammo, so I'll ask here. I've come across some Romanian 7.62x39 and I have no idea whether it's corrosive. It comes in a grey cardboard box. Printed on the top is:

MADE IN ROMANIA
7.62X39 mm
LEAD CORE
20 CARTRIDGES

Printed on the side is:

Warning: Keep away from
Children
For use only in modern
firearms of good condition

DO NOT RELOAD

The bullets have a red band around them right where they come out of the case.

Does anybody know anything about this stuff?

Any date codes on the box or head? Steel case or brass?

I'd assume it's corrosive until proven otherwise.

No date codes on box. Head has two numbers: 324 on one side and 94 on the other.

No pics right now -- I can post some later tonight or tomorrow.

Hard to make out the numbers in the bottom pic, but it's "324" at the top and "94" at the bottom.

I know I should treat it as corrosive, but I'm lazy and I'm hoping for the magic ID that will tell me I don't have to ...
