Rossi R95 Came Today

OKay here are some pics of the new sights and the scope installed. I am about 90% satisfied with the set up. I had to still use High Rings to clear the rear sight. But it shoulders fine and you can get a semi cheek weld. I think I may still just get a folding Marbles sight and put back on it and reinstall the factory front bead. The factory bead is made of steel not brass like Marlin used. The tall front sight will work good with a peep if I decide to go that route one day. I like the Williams peep because I can remove the eye insert and have a real ghost ring sight.

I have the open sights laser sighted and the scope laser sighted at 100 yards. That should get me close on paper. When I started laser sighting I only had to turn the knobs a few clicks. It was close to correct right out of the box.

Late last year, I traded for a Rossi stainless 16 inch barrel 38 special/357 magnum carbine, and a couple months ago traded for a Rossi stainless 20 inch barrel 45 colt/454 casull, both R 92s.
first thing I did was remove the buckhorn sights and trade them for peep sights from STEVES GUNZ, then took off the safeties, and replace them with pins he sells, and remove the plastic magazine follower, for steel
followers he sells.
I am 73 and I see the peep sights better than the buckhorns. I do not know if he sells parts for the new Rossi 95s, but you might want to check with him.

I'm a bit cornfused. The peep sight replaces the safety. You can have either the button filler or the peep sight but not both.

STEVES GUNZ sells two type of peep sights. I replaces the safety on the model R 92, and the other replaces the buckhorn rear sight. I chose to go with that type of sight, and replace the safety with a
pin he sells.
I grew up with lever guns both Winchester and Marlin, and just do not like that safety. I also do not care for the sight on the bolt

Safety is nice for teaching kids how to unload after hunting
