Rotating CC guns: What's the deal?

Was thinking more of size and weight, carrying a 5 inch 1911 at 40oz isn't something I want to do when it's 90 outside.

I was thinking full size 5 inch 1911's, not the commander sizes with the alloy frames. Yeah, those wouldn't be too bad, but I'd still rather be carrying something lighter in summer.

Fair enough, it is a reasonably heavy gun to carry, true. Yet surprisingly easy to conceal. An aluminum CCO carries extremely easy even in the hot summer.

I EDCd a 40 oz (unloaded) Kimber warrior for a few years and it was fine with the right holster and belt.

I have three CC guns and all three are striker-fired polymer weapons. All operate the same and have the mag release and slide release in the same basic position. It just makes sense.

But arguing over it is like arguing over which cologne to wear when dating Jennifer Anniston vs. Salma Hayak. It's of such low probability that anyone here will ever have to draw their weapon, and that it will be a different weapon than the one they carry on Tuesdays, that is borders on ridiculousness.

While I do own others I usually carry one of two pistols. Either a M&P 2.0 40 Compact or a Kahr CM9. While they are 2 different sizes & 2 different triggers neither has an external safety. Both are in what I consider acceptable calibers. The 40 is what I carry 99% of the time. The little CM9 is for when I don't want anything larger.
