I was out at the barn a bit ago with a painter looking for the paint from when the house was lat painted to get the color numbers for a repaint.

As I have not been to the barn in over a week I reach around the door frame and flipped an ancient Daisy with the removable “barrel” end for end. The painter asked me why.

I have found that if you leave a daisy standing in a corner barrel up for several weeks that all the lubes run down into the “receiver” and the gun develops EXTREMELY low velocity.

As in the BB goes ten feet before falling on the ground.

I found that if I store the Daisy for one to two weeks muzzle down and then two weeks muzzle up and repeat ad infinitum the guns always shoot much like having been recently lubed.

Just thought I would share this with folks that have an “Auntie-Cue” Daisy stored some place handy might benefit from that info.

Pleasant Plinking!
