Some of the long-term Members here from TFL may remember the "no guns = no $" cards I sent around back in 2001.

Great minds must think alike, because somebody done gone and made some cards just like those here:
http://www.learntocarry.com/

Right hand column, just a bit down.

These come in a Word.doc, so you can print up some cards of your own.

Now, I was reading a thread posted by Springmom a little earlier regarding a business posting those idiot "no guns" signs, and I think it's time for a little good old-fashioned rousing of the rabble.

So. I would like for everyone here to print up a good selection of these cards. 20 would be okay, fifty better.

Then, in honour of my birthday, I'd like each Member here to spend the next week (Monday, February 27 to Friday, March 3) gifting each "No gun" store in your area with one of these cards each day.

Multiple days are okay, and recommended.

Thank you for your time.

The only place I've seen a sign like that around here is at the hospital - and the court house.

We don't have these signs in any legal capacity in this state Lawdog, but I'll see if I can't manage to tick off a blissninny in special honor of your birthday. :)

A craft store did post some no guns allowed signs in our area. My wife thought this was rather amusing, and went in, filled a shopping cart with expensive merchandise, walked it up to the register, pretended to see the no guns sign for the first time and said "Oh, I guess I'm not welcome here then." and she left the cart full of stuff there.

She never intended to buy any of that stuff anyway, but couldn't resist irking the craft store. :p

I love it!! I think everyone should do that!!

I think it might even be good to go into a resturant, order (if you make it that far) and just before the food arrives, ask the manager if they really mean that about "No Guns". When they kick you out, they waste the food. I don't know about the legal remifications but it seems to me that there shouldn't be any. Here in VA if I don't leave when they ask me to then I'm guilty of criminal trespass (non gun crime). Of course I would leave if they asked so that shouldn't be an issue.

I'd just do the front, t'were I you.

i'd leave one of those at the courthouse, but they probably would arrest me for some secret law that's part of the patriot act.

i'd leave one of those at the local school, since my daughter is homeschooled, but they're probably not bright enough to understand it, and it might violate some zero tolerance policy and again, i'd be arrested.

LawDog, we don't have any blissninny signs about these parts, but in honor of your birthday, I'm going to a firearms auction. AND THE HK91, SL7, M14, COLT LIGHTINING, COLT GOVERNMENTS AND SMITH KIT GUNS ARE MINE--ALL MINE!

You guys are welcome, but you cannot bid until the auction is over.:neener:

The folks at ohioccw.org have had cards like these for quite a while.

:D

Oh I have been doing this, there is a pawn shop of all places with improper signage that keeps getting these. Sent them extras after reading about an incident where they were held up.

Now there is one resturant that made a big deal of making it known it was against guns, gun owners, and CCW.

We had a get together and the bill was $400 at a place that is gun friendly. So we made copy of that bill and sent to the resturaunt that was not - with them cards.

So if a purchase is made of anything, we tend to send to a business these cards with a copy of purchases made elsewhere.

One couple doing interior decorating on a new house sent cards along with some "nice" large purchase amounts to some businesses not wanting gun toting folks inside.

Also Service oriented places are treated the same way. Cleaners, Tax /CPA folks, Business machines, Plumbing, Roofers...

Let them pay for their Cost of Doing Business with a "No guns = NO $ " card.

This is the the way he wants it, so thats the way he gets it...-Strother Martin, Cool Hand Luke.

How about a trade?

I'll participate... If you'll pen letters to your representative and 2 senators asking for support repealing the NPS ban, followed up with phone calls...

Follow the link in my sig.

I do for whomever, wherever, whenever I can.

Freedoms are not for Trade, for Concessions, never for exchange for a few "Liberties".

Never shot benchrest, I have observed, and have supported these folks. Ditto for various other disciplines , Ranges, Political concerns...etc.

Never been to CA, IN, MI,IL, ... New Jersey, WI...etc. assisted in various ways.

Have been other places, sometimes instead of shooting, passing forward to a new shooter, tending BBQ grill so others could be with families on the range...doing Eddie Eagle stuff, or reading Ruark to littler kids.
No big deal to attend a meeting out of state for another's cause, I can even run to a printing place and get copies made if need, buy envelopes, stamps and stuff envelopes in a hotel room, or as a guest in a home.
I can shoot the next day...matter of priorities.

Preserving Freedom - Fighting Tyranny.

I have no doubt in my mind LawDog has sent support to my State, and would again if made aware of something.
Ditto for Jeff White in IL, and many others on this board and sister boards.

How raised - what one does.

Not sure how much good I did for New Zealand, but it takes a bit more than 39 cents to mail a letter. :)

LawDog,

I'd love to do this, but here in the PDRI (Aka: The land of Blago and Daley) it's all one big 30.06 sign.

But the family is going to the club Saturday for some Trap, Skeet, and plinking with a .22. Then Sunday, I am taking my daughter on a Youth Pheasant Hunt.

I'll also buy some powder, wads and other reloading supplies in your honour. (Can I have your credit card number ??? :neener: )

P.S. HAPPY BIRTHDAY !!!!! Now git over there and finish part one of the LawDog files !!!! :D
