Recently aquired this Ruger 10/22. It's known as a "finger groove" model. It has a lower serial number 5740x, which dates it to 1966. It also has no Ruger warning stamped on the barrel.
The 10/22 was pretty grungy when I got it, but it cleaned up well. On the bottom side of the barrel, under the front sight is som pitting. Looks like someone left it in a gun case to long. It's not a perfect 10/22, but a very serviceable shooter.
Anyone else happen to like Ruger 10/22's?
