I've never had any sort of magazine related failures wth my 10/22 using any factory mags

I've got Remingtons, Winchesters, Marlins, Savages, CZ's, a Colt, and probably a few other .22's, and the only one I hated and got rid was a 10/22. I'll never understand how they got so popular. Their magazines are a pain, their accuracy is barley acceptable, and the birch stock on the one I had looked like it was made from an old shipping pallet.

If they are OEM mags, have them check the mags to make sure they are BX-1 mags and not JX-1 mags for 77/22s & 96/22s. They look a lot alike. The BX-1 mags should have a rounded bottom and the JX-1 mags will have a flat bottom. JX-1s will fit in a 10/22 but may not function 100% of the time. I made this mistake when I was a punk kid.

If the mags don't fall free, look in the mag well for spots where the mags contact the mag well (right & left sides). Relieve those areas with light sanding and test fitting until the mags fall free.

LOL, tell us how you really feel about them.
