Ruger 10-22 Takedown Barrel Adjustment Question

So I noticed today while shooting that my adjustment ring to snug up the barrel had loosened to the point where the barrel could be wiggled forward and back easily.


I probably put hundreds of rounds downrange with the barrel this way.


Question: Does a loose adjustment ring on a take-down 10-22 cause any damage to the rifle?

It probably did no damage, and the even better news is even if it did, Ruger will fix it for free, forever
