Is that the one with a retail pice of 500 + dollars? For get it. Go find a used beater ruger 125 to 150 . But a aftermarket barrel-90 to 200 dollars hogue over molded stock-60 bucks and a weaver scope base for 11 bucks, bi-pod for 32 bucks. You still will want atleast a trigger parts kit to get a lighter pull ether way and can be money ahead still useing a GM barrel. Now just a used rifle is needed with parts below.

why does every thing have to go "tactical" nowadays? just another gun fad, my plain Jane 10/22 does what I need it to do just fine. (and probably more)

Like it's size, spec's, and price. It's a nice platform to work with as far as accessories go.
I've been buying CZ's and this looked pretty interesting.

IMHO, Ruger 10/22 rifles are more fun to build-up than to buy already built. It's super easy to do & makes you feel like Jim Clark. If you wanna' know more, visit "rimfirecentral.com", those guys know E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G about 10/22 stuff. (and then send the smart ones you meet back over here!)
