They're polished buffalo horn. I've had them for over 20yrs, just never found a permanent home for them. Are they polished horn?

I agree. The two tone look on revolvers is eye catching, and not done often enough in my opinion.I like the ejector rod housing the way it is. The contrast is cool IMO.
Well, sort of. I was going to wait until I had the #5 basepin and new front sight but the "free" shipping is too slow and I'm impatient. So here's the Carryhawk with an aluminum XR3-RED grip frame off my .41 Blackhawk and aluminum ejector housing. Both of which have now been bead blasted. The grip frame has been roundbutted. The grips reshaped, refitted, sanded to the grip frame and repolished. I think we're getting somewhere with this.

I knew the big dot and V-notch was going away and didn't want to waste time on it.
Like the hi viz sight! CoolI had problems with the big dot sight being damaged (hole broke thru mtg tab) on my new carryhawk, and now they're (Ruger c/s) sending a new out to me. In the meantime I got impatient similar to what you had mentioned somewhere, and went a different route. I am trying the Hi Viz green FO sight for NM BH. I don't think it's as tall as your blade though.

Power Customs has a video showing how to fit a Colt style grip frame to a Ruger.Looking good! To do that round butt conversion do you have to weld in more material to the frame, or is there enough to just grind it down? Thinking of doing this to my Super Blackhawk...
