Just bought a Ruger Charger and am wondering what kind of sighting system to put on it. For closeup shooting, using a red dot or a laser system would be the best way to go, I think. In fact, there are some cheaper laser systems one can use (made in China).

Some of the red dot systems can be very expensive.

I'm just wondering if using a handgun optic with a long eye relief would be best or a rifle optic would be best? I'm thinking of starting out with an inexpensive red dot. Can anyone recommend one of these?

ANY recommendations would be appreciated. The Charger really does look like a great system...not really a pistol, not really a rifle.

Thanks.

I use a pistol scope,

or a inexpensive ($30) BSA Red Dot.

I have fooled around with a laser but the Charger isn't a good choice for a laser.

What's the most inexpensive scope system I can get? Many people use red dots, but I was considering a .22LR Bushnell rifle scope, as handgun scopes tend to be EXPEN$IVE.
