I've wanted one of these ever since they introduced them.

I have put +200 rounds thru this and have to say I am pretty impressed. The adjustable rear sight has allowed me to produce a 2" group at 15 yards. I think I may be able to get it a little tighter with practice.

The trigger is excessively stiff but has smoothed out considerably. I know rimfire primers need to be smacked a little harder but it seems to me a slightly lighter spring could get the job done. I keep it in my safe unloaded with the hammer cocked to take some of the sass out it. Seems to help some.

I coupled it with a Galco Combat Master 302B holster designed around a Taurus that holds it just fine. The holster also works well on my SP101 DAO. Also changed out the grip to a Pachmayr Diamond Pro.

I carry it with CCI Maxi Mag +V 30 grain while I'm doing chores around the place. I'm hoping to get an opportunity to try it out on a errant ground hog or a misguided coyote.

Having lots of fun with it.

i’m a big fan of ruger revolvers in 22wmr, in a 5.5” single six, and in 22lr, in a 2” lcr. i traded away a 2” lcr 22wmr, because the flashbang was too much for not much more oomph out of a short barrel with only six rounds.

my favorite single six came to me used minus the 22wmr cylinder. i got an 8 shot 22wmr replacement cylinder from midway that needed $20 of gunsmith fluffing and 100 range rounds to make it a dream shooter, i.e. a single eight.

if ruger had brought out the 3” lcr-x 22wmr earlier and made it a seven rounder i would have one, as i really like my 2” lcr 22lr. the lcr platform in rimfire is perfect: light, handy, reliable and alot more fun than shooting a centerfire lcr.

btw, wheelgunman, did you swap grips on your lcr-x, why, what are the new ones? have you tried different 22wmr ammo, especially handgun specific rounds?

I too have the LCR in .22WRM and I agree... it's extremely loud. I am having a hard time deciding if I want to let it go. I have a couple people interested in it, but the wife enjoys shooting it too. The LCRx doesn't seem to be as loud..that extra 1-1/8" of barrel seems to have taken some of the bark out of it.

Regarding the Hogue® Tamer™ Monogrip® on the LCRx 3"... I had purchased the Pachmayr Diamond Pro's for my EDC LCR 357 but didn't care for their size for pocket carry...but I really liked the feel of the grip in my hand. I also like the look of it on the LCRx.
I'll probably change back and forth until I determine which one I like best.

I have the Pachmayr Diamond Pro's on my SP101 that I replaced a set of Hogue contour grips with. The Diamond Pro's just seem to be a great fit for my hand size.

Nice, I wish it was more than a six shooter.....

I think it was a marketing decision. To offer it in 8 shot would have cut drastically into their .22LR sales IMO.

I have a couple of Five Star speedloaders and a couple of speed strips that I can carry with it so reloading is pretty seamless. It's a riot to shoot and the 3" takes some advantage of the magnum round.

I don't have much use for the .22 WRM cartridge, here it would a range gun. We a lot government land around here and the .22 WRM can't be used.
