IMG_5383.JPG IMG_5382.JPG Hey guys. Any Mini-14 guys in the house? Picking this up this week. I hear the stock is quite rare. Can anyone help me out on the value and maybe an outlet to sell it? Thanks guys. Its an original mini-14 serial number 184-***** w/original folding stock.

I still use a Mini-14 (in a Choate pistol grip stock) as my primary rifle. The value will depend on condition, of course, and a buyer who wants the stock. I don't like folding stocks so if I bought something like that I'd transplant it into a conventional stock, so the folder, despite its rarity, would be something I would pay extra to get.

You should be able to get a good price for it if you find someone who wants the stock.

My first semi auto was a mini 14- bought new in 1986 for the princely sum of about $260. That is a cool one, and in the stock its an interesting piece of nostalgia. The thing is, to get a "good" price for it, someone would have to want it for the same reasons. Especially with the < $500 AR's that abound today.

I shouldn't be surprised if serious buyers offer you north of 1200$
for it, assuming the bore is clean, and the gun is all original.

I wouldn't go for less than $1200 for it. Seen one at my local gun show just like that, they want $1400. I've seen other on the internet for no less than $1200. It doesn't matter what AR's are going for these days, that is a rare gun, and some what of a collectors item.

Oooh that's pretty.
I put a choate on my stainless 187 and love it to pieces.

The values though:what:
Much as I love them, I don't think I'd pay today's asking prices
