I picked up a Ruger Mk II .22 caliber pistol the other day from a guy I know who inherited it. He doesn't know much about firearms, but he tried to clean it up and in the process removed the bluing and let it sit for a awhile. He told me about it and gave it to me (FREE!). It was in sad shape: the bolt was stuck, rust was forming, etc. So after a little initial cleaning I got the bolt working and now in the process of a more detailed cleaning. Going to get it up and running, some new grips and see what kind of finish to put on it. Love this kind of project, get to test out different ideas w/o risking my other guns.
