Upon leaving the LGS today I always walk by the revolver case to see what’s new. Typically nothing new but a couple weeks ago there was a stainless single six in there and I was curious if it was still there. It was but the price seemed steep to me. I noticed this blued single six that at first I thought was new. When it was pointed out to me that it was used I asked to see it. It was a 50th anniversary model with both .22 and .22 magnum cylinders. Seemed to have been shot very little. Not a mark on it. Comes with everything that it came with from the factory. Price was $425. Not cheap but I thought what the heck. I can’t wait to shoot it. I’ve always wanted a single six.

Great catch! You can never have too many fast handling .22 single actions.

If you hit the lottery, you might think about a Single Seven...same frame as the Single Six..
Hit the lottery? How much does the Ruger Single Seven go for, new and like new?

That's not impulse, it's reflex. That means you're in top condition and your brains working correctly. Enjoy it, I want a Single Six....
As John Wick would have explained it: "Yeah."

John doesn't talk a whole lot!

Truth is I went out to the truck and went back in. It just seemed to be calling me. I’ve been looking for the right one for a few years. Today everything lined up. .

Well you certainly chose a good one! You'll love the way it points and shoots. Trigger on mine is 4.5lbs. I have 5 total single sixes, and just bought a wrangler. And have a blackhawk. You could say im a ruger SA fan!

RUGER SINGLE SEVEN STAINLESS .327 FED MAG 3.75-INCH 7RD

2 REVIEWS 2 QUESTIONS 3 ANSWERS
The Ruger Single Seven is a single action revolver styled after the iconic Colt Single Action Army. This model features a shorter 3.75" barrel, an all stainless finish, and black laminate birdshead grips. This model is chambered in .327 Federal Magnum and holds one more round (7 total) when compared to the original Colt.
$719

I like the birdshead gripframe. Versatile caliber too although I don't have one. In the early '80's I got the blued single six in the then new .32H&R magnum with a camo uncle Mike's holster. Lots of hype back when announced for that caliber. Retail was $205 then with holster. I really like the .32 platform.
