Running around naked!

Got halfway to the Valley today for a two week stay while working on a buddy's house and realized I was naked. No, I don't mean no clothes on, I mean NAKED as in I brought no personal defense gun with me. Man is that a spooky feeling!

Stopped at a gun store where I used to do business and checked to see if George was in. New owner said, "No, but can I help you?" I explained what the problem was and he said, "Pick out what you want and we'll treat you right" Found a used KelTec P11 with belt clip, pinky extender, and one 10 round mag like new in box with original mag base plate and original frame pins. Walked out the door with it 10 minutes later. Cost me $238 plus tax with no fees.

Had to tinker with it some, but should be a good in between gun. Bought some 147g Hydra-shok to feed it so I should be good to go! Guys my age can't just run around naked you know.
 
Ha,If you were running around naked then I must be a nudist. Glad to hear you got some more comfortable "attire"

Hmm...this got me thinking.
I wonder how one would go around carrying in a nudist colony.
Open or conceald? :p
 
There is no federal waiting period for any guns. States impose them at their discretion, e.g., California with its 10 days. :rolleyes: AZ uses the NICS check, a phone call that for most people takes a few minutes. This is skipped if you have a carry permit. I recently picked up a pistol at a show one afternoon and was shooting it at the range that evening. :cool:

Got that right. Done that before too. If you buy face to face there is not FFL, no NICS, no waiting. "Pay you money and go shoot you gun"

Az is a wonderful place to live.
 
I hate that naked feeling. I've turned around in my car more than once to pick up my piece!
 
I can't wait to get my orders out of PRK, the only time I'll be naked is when I'm on base past the sentries...good enough deal for someone with my line of work.
 
Closest I came to forgetting my pistol was leaving the mag at home. :eek: Now I did have a spare, but the spare went into the gun and then I had no spare. What is that phase Clint Smith always says about two and one?

1911, That is a phrase we used to live by when I was on active duty;
Two is one and one is none.

Cannonball, I would make sure it was something small; that's gonna be uncomfortable!
