IMHO a complete conversion would require <snip> opening up the magwell, or even better- reworking the front of the magwell so that the notch is identical to mil-spec.
Neither of those actions are necessary.

The mag well opening is milspec, with the exception of a "milsurp magazine interdiction tab" in some models (it's about 1/16th of an inch by 2/3" and easily removed).

The front of a Saiga mag well is as milspec as any AK-103.

The Saiga are designed for "sporting mags" with a longer mag latch on the rifle to go with the shorter rear locking tab on the factory magazines.

Where does it state in the Saiga 12 posting that the customer bought the rifle from our firm ? We have never had a customer contact our office with a problem stating that the 103 conversion bullet guide was glued into place. Saiga 103 conversions built for us in that timeframe were done by Red Jacket Firearms and they do not glue any bullet guides .

I never said anything about you guys. It is the suppliers of these conversions I am discussing.

My point here has been to "Beware of where your Saiga conversion comes from, as it can be "glued" together."

Nalioth , 10 - 4 , it is important to make sure that if you are paying for a conversion it is completed by a professional firm and backed up by a warranty . Thank you for you responses and input on this thread .
