Just bought a Russian Tiger rifle on a whim as the price seemed right ($800) and I wanted a semi auto in 7.62x54r. The thing seems to be in good shape with a great looking bore. It has the usual Izmash and B-West stamped on the reciever. Not seeing any on Gunbroker right now. How did I do?

Any idea where to get some parts for it? At minimum I would like to get an extra mag for the thing. I pretty much got a bare bones rifle/scope with one mag. Ideally I would like to put together the usual kit that comes with these type rifles. Looked around at Numrich and Sarco and couldn't find anything.

A Tiger will accept the standard 10 shot Dragunov magazine.

+1 - you got one hell of a deal. All of those that I've seen have been way more expensive like 2000 dollars at the least.

That was about half price. You did well. I do think the Tigers are fake SVD's, though that may be harsh as they do have the same receiver and trigger group and are certainly Dragunov's design. The stock, rear sight, gas block, barrel, front sight, and muzzle device are not from the SVD (though we do have a Kiwi who can get Tigers imported to his native country that are far more SVD than the ones here).
The PSL isn't a fake Dragunov because it isn't a Dragunov. The Romanian's designed their own version, much like the Yugoslavs, but a fake it does not make, except that sellers here call them Drags, which they are not.
In any case, that was a superb price for a Tiger, and less than half price as the cheapest one I have seen in years in the US was $1,800, many of them being priced above two grand.

IMO, the term "Dragunov" should refer to the operating system rather than the outward configuration.
The 'Tiger', as was said, is a hunting/sport rifle using the same Dragunov-designed short piston op system as the SVD. Cosmetics are irrelevent. It isn't an SVD, but it certainly is a "Dragunov".
You got an extremely good deal on a rare and desirable rifle. Enjoy.

A Dragunov has a fully-adjustable gas system. The Tiger does not. That is significant and is beyond cosmetic. However, they do both have the same receiver, bolt, and trigger parts. It is, certainly, built on the same machinery and the like. But, it is still a sporter rifle and not the real deal (semantics, perhaps). The Remington 798 might be a Mauser, but it is no K98k.
