The bluing on a Beretta NEOS (.22 LR semi-auto pistol) lightly rusted after the gun was laid on a car floorboard carpet for a long trip (2 days). I don't think the carpet was wet from inside - maybe heat from exhaust or leak/spray from outside? Anyway, it doesn't matter, 'cept that I learn to store and transport a pistol in a case or at least a holster!
The rust damage is pretty light, so I just want to cosmetically touch up the area and maybe stop any further rusting.
Any new products or approaches since these last threads I searched up? Basically, the best I couold grean from them was lightly polish with bronze wool, maybe with some oil or solvent to help, then clean it up and use some sort of cold bluing or bluing pen. Any favorite products?
