I purchased a used S&W 327 last week and I just noticed the trigger stop is missing. This is my second post so I'm going to try to attach an image of what is missing part. On my gun there appears to be a place for it but it was either removed by the original owner or the knocked off in the store, perhaps when the store put the trigger guard on after the sale.

My question is if the store doesn't want to help out how difficult would it be to replaced the missing stop or do I need a new trigger? I'm fairly handy and I've dissembled my rifles, shot gun and other pistols but never taken a revolver down that far...

TIA

As it will need to be hand fitted for correct operation, I think you should give S&W customer service a call. They will probably want to look at it and send you a label for UPS. If they decide it is covered under warranty, they will repair it and send it back to you at no cost. If it isn't warranty work, they will send you a work order for approval. You can say yea or nay; either way return shipping is on you. They staked a new rear sight elevation stud on a Model 63 for me (non warranty) and my total out of pocket expenses was about $40.

I suppose you could find some suitable stock to fashion your own out of, secure it with some type of adhesive and then adjust it for function.

Thanks Greg, good advice I'll give them a call. I was hoping it would be something I could do myself but I don't want a botch job either. Given the political environment I would think S&W is overwhelmed. I have a decent internet connection and recently there have been times (on several occasions) where I could not even connect to their website or the site was very slow. Hopefully they are open today so I could start the process

Thanks again,
Joe
