I agree on shooting the AirLite Model 317’s, those are surprisingly tough to shoot at distances beyond 7-10 yards for me. The combination of the light weight, rimfire trigger pull and V-notch rear/Hi-Viz front sights aren’t the best for my eyes. I replaced the rear sight blade for a square-notch on my 317 and it helped, but it is still not a tack driver for me.

And you certainly aren’t kidding about the prices on the Model 63’s!
Back in 2020 I kept bidding on ones listed on GB and they were commanding crazy bids to take them home. They were being bid up so high that I bought a blued 10” Ruger Mk IV and a walnut/stainless 10/22 RSI from Buds, and I paid OTD for both less than just the winning bids were on the 63’s.
That’s when I started checking out the Model 34. In late 2021 I paid a bit more for my .22/.32 Kit Gun than half what Model 63’s were going for. It’s not stainless steel, but if that is an issue the Taurus 94 or 317in the safe could do (and hold 3 more shots, too.)
It looks like Enablers Unanimous has struck again! Good luck
@Mark_Mark, hopefully you will soon bring another one home to the nest.
Let us know what you think when you get it home and go shoot it.
Stay safe.
