S&W 5906 - laser sight options other than Lasergrip

I'm kicking around the idea of a laser sight for my full-sized 9mm (S&W 5906). Problem is, it's a 3rd-gen metal-frame S&W with no rail. I see that Crimson Trace makes a Lasergrip for this gun, but judging from the pics, it adds girth compared to the flat-backstrap S&W grip, and due to small hands I don't need any added girth; even Hogue wraparounds make the grip too big for me.

Back in the '90s, it seemed that multiple companies were making lasers that attached to the front of the trigger guard. Does anyone still make a quality laser that can be attached to a stock 5906, other than the Lasergrip? (No Airsoft-grade stuff please.)

They were all 1st. Gen laser junque, and proved impossible to keep in zero.

As little as a small bump on a holster knocked them all crazy-eyed.
And most all of them walked around the trigger-guard under recoil.

You don't want one, even if you did find one.
