S&W 629-5 Hammer

I was wondering if a blunt force struck the hammer on a S&W 629-5 is there a possibility that the firing pin could hit the primer on a round or is there some kind of mechanical mechanism to mitigate that scenario

Unless someone has removed it, all S&W revolvers come with a hammer block.

Should pass a "drop test" with no problem.
