I was nosing around the local gun shop looking to address my need for a very concealable(not interested in Kahr PM 9 size pistols) 9mm I can wear in the swampy summers of Minnesota, possibly in a belly band type set-up. They had a S&W 6946, with I believe only 1 mag for 439. Was wondering if this is a fair price, are spare parts around, and anything to look at on the pistol that would give me an idea of it's condition. They also had a P7,for 798. I know very little about both these pistols, but people seem to like both very much on this site. If I had to go for a new 9mm, I'm leaning towards the PPS, or despite the weight and profile, a CZ 75 for 575.
They also had a Colt series 80, used for 595. Was thinking of using this as a "tuner" pistol(not really for CC) if that was a fair price and in good condition. But I'd also consider getting a new or good condition series 70- but I think I'd need lotsa luck on that.
In today's economy, these are definitely luxury problems deciding what to get. I'd rather adress the 9mm issuefirst, but would be open to taking the best player available- so to speak. Any thoughts would be appreciated!

That is a DAO gun and that limits its appeal. It is also not as concealable as the 3913/3953 models which are single stacks and usually sell for a little more. The 6906/6946 are actually quite popular and the gun can use either the 12 round mag or the 15 round mag from the 5906 series. In reasonable condition the gun should sell for about $350.

Thanks for the input, gentleman. I'll hold out for something else.
