Does anyone here carry a S&W J-frame in a Desantis speed scabbard belt holster,or have experiance with the Desantis speed scabbard holster in general? If so is this a good pancake holster, does it conceal well under a T-shirt or polo type shirt and is it a bulky holster? I'm looking for a pancake holster for my S&W M&P 340 but want a pancake holster that will hols close to the body to conceal under a T-shirt polo shirt thanks.

I haven't carried a J frame in a DeSantis Speed Scabbard but I do carry a 3" Ruger Police Service-Six in one and it's a great carry. The holster is comfortable and holds the gun very firm. It's easy to draw and re-holster too. For the price it's one of the better belt holsters available. I also carry a 4" S&W M686 in a Thumb Break Scabbard from DeSantis. (I should have bought a Speed Scabbard for that gun too)

I've carried J-Frames, K-Frames, and Detective Specials in DeSantis Speed Scabbards with great success. Very comfortable, easy to position, and offers great concealment.

The Speed Scabbard will also accomodate HipGrip-equipped revolver, which is important to me. Not all OWB revolver holsters allow this.

I sometimes carry my 340 M&P in one. It's not a bulky pancake holster, does a good job of keeping the gun tight to the body. Should work fine under a big enough T-Shirt.

I actually prefer the angle of cant and force required for draw of the DeSantis to my Kramer Belt Scabbard. And the Kramer cost a bunch more.

I have a Speed Scabbard for all my carry guns J frames, K frames,S&W autos, 1911s, etc etc. I have been using them for over 20 years. I haven't found an OWB holster that holds the gun in to the body as well. They are very secure even without the thumb break.
