I am debating between getting an M&P Pro C.O.R.E 9MM w/ 5" barrel or a Glock 34 MOS. I've never been a big fan of Glocks but I've heard that the M&P Pro C.O.R.E. still has the same crappy trigger that earlier M&P's have that you need an Apex trigger kit for.

How does the Glock 34 compare with the M&P Pro C.O.R.E out of the box (no Apex trigger). I need something that is MOS capable. I already have a Sig 320 45acp but it is not MOS capable and I don't like the fact that only the Sig red dot will work with the 320 RX. I already have a Burris FF 3

I have 10K+ rounds through my CORE 9L and absolutely love it. I put the Apex FSS sear and aluminum trigger kit in it but the stock trigger was very shootable. Depends on what you mean by "crappy." Both OEM M&P and Glock triggers are crappy by my definition. Both are usable and shootable, however. If you've been spoiled by the 320 you probably will want an aftermarket trigger in either the M&P or the Glock. At that point get whichever one fits you better and you shoot better.

some M&P CORE videos you may or may not find useful

Nothing wrong with the CORE trigger, improved over the original M&P trigger. Also the ergonomics of the M&P are superior to that of the Glock.

Has anyone heard when S&W is going to switch the pro line stuff to 2.0?
It’s seems like all of the improvements they made should be in the competition guns. Just the better texturing alone would be a reasons for a competition gun.

MoreIsLess if you can wait, I’d wait until the 2.0 comes out. Comparing the regular M&Ps, the 2.0s are just some much better. And if you watch any video reviews you’ll see that there are very few serious criticisms. So I’d think the Pro in a 2.0 would be even better.

Yes, I can wait. Glad you pointed that out. So is it a known fact that S&W is planning to upgrade the Pro Line to 2.0 or is it speculation at this point.

Nothing has been announced but look at the rest of the M&P line. It's all gone that way. I can't see them continuing the Pro line with the old frames with all of the positive reviews on the 2.0.

So it's not a matter of if, but when.

So yea speculation, but seeing what they are doing make it's a really good bet. In fact, I'm surprised they haven't made the change already. But I also wonder why they don't offer the 5" in black. My guess is they have a ton of FDE frames that they made for the military contract they didn't get. So they're working on getting rid of those and won't offer a black 5" or a Pro until they get the supply down. If they came out with a black pro now it would hamper FDE sales and people like me wouldn't buy one, instead we'd wait or go with a Pro.
