S&W M&P Sport?

Saw an AR-15 for sale from Copes Distributing and was wondering if anybody had ever heard of it before? It's the M&P 15 Sport from Smith and Wesson and at $599 it would be a great deal on a plinker. At that price I would be hard pressed to build one, and with a warranty to boot.

My only experience with S&W are their handguns so any feedback on this rifle would be appreciated.

The msrp is $709
and it is chambered in 223 but you can buy conversion uppers for around $300 to make it into .22lr

It's actually chambered in 5.56, and yes there is a difference.

The sport lacks the foreword assist and dust cover I believe. If that's not important to you go for it

Yeah, they are a great deal for a quality AR to "get you in the game."

Love my Sport. 1800 of my reloads through it, no issues. S&W really listened to what the consumers are asking and they delivered. This is definitely not a 'cheap' gun as everyone assumed at first.

The only thing they could have done was fitted a shielded handguard, but not terribly important.
