S&W M60 Manufacturing Date

My father passed on recently and I have been sorting through his gun collection and among a slew of other things there are two NIB S&W M60 38 Specials. The serial #'s on the butt are :

- ACA5260
- AYN2983

Can someone tell me when they were made.

Greeting's Diamondback My Friend-

Looks like the first S&W model 60 with S/N ACA 5260
might have been made between Jan (ABL 4000) and
Oct (ADE 6700) of 1983. But, the second model 60
with S/N AYN 2983 is inconclusive; as the serail #
range stopped with AYM in 1988. Please, if you
will recheck the lettering very carefully, and I will
try to pin it down for you?

Greeting's Again Diamondback My Friend-

I'm afraid that the S&W model 60 with the "AYN" serial
prefix, will have to be authenicated by Mr. Roy Jinks of
Smith & Wesson. He is the "in house" S&W historian.
