S&W Model 66 and hogue wood grips

Just put coco bolo grips on my model 66. Noticed that their is a gap between the bottom of the backstrap and the wood of the grip. It's about 1/8". Anyone else with the hogue wood grips for a round butt notice this with theirs? Is it normal? Thanks.

I had the same problem. Those grips looked terrible so I returned them anyways....Good luck!

I dig the rubber stock grips anyways!

It's not normal.....Call Hogue.
They will either tell you how to correct it, or will exchange the grips for you.
