I picked up a Sabatti 308 bolt action 26"heavy barrel the multi-radical rifling. It was lightly used like new what can anyone tell me about it.
I looked up "multi-radial rifling" on the internet. It seems to be a variation of hexalgonal rifling. Instead of the straight sides of the polygon are slightly curved and the 'clean' corners are more rounded. Looks like it would require a rounded cutter to rifle one. (Not my problem.) I presume that with proper care, it will shoot as well as any other form of rifling. I have no real world experience.I am interested in the multi-radial rifling. I suspect gimmickry (while not suggesting it is other than accurate) ...
If they are built anything like their double rifles are built, I'd be shocked if it shoots well. But I could be wrong. Only way to tell is to shoot it and see.
At least on the bolt gun, the muzzle won't be all ground up, trying to get it regulated!! lolIf they are built anything like their double rifles are built, I'd be shocked if it shoots well. But I could be wrong. Only way to tell is to shoot it and see.
Ouch!At least on the bolt gun, the muzzle won't be all ground up, trying to get it regulated!! lol
