sorry again guys, i won't be there...wife is going to training from 0900 to 1600 (9 to 4 for the rest of you)

poohgryy - the gunroom's range has been open for about a month now...nice and ckean...they closed down their other shop and wil be moving the retail sales to the range.

it is right off hwy-99 at grantline, 2nd right, down at the first turn...a bit pricey at $10 per, but yearly is only $500 for unlimited use...7 days a week from 10-10

pittspilot - you can get new .303 ammo in reloadable brass that is non-corrosive too. i've got some south african PMP which is very nice, but i can't remember what i paid for it. i think i saw an ad in the new SGN for .303 and 6.5x55mm at about $160/500 from century arms

which model enfield was out at the armoury and how much were they asking for them?

I went back today and it was gone. Oh well. I don't remember the model. I just know that for the price of one root canal, I could afford a really nice M1A

what are the average range fees? a 2 hour drive might be fun to meet a bunch of avid shooters. will only be bringing pistols though

tracker 44 in .357
915 S&W in 9mm
and maybe the bersa in .380

Range fees run 7 dollars at Yolo and 10 dollars at Rancho.

Well 4 people are out.............if anyone else decides to go answer to this roll call otherwise it will have to be a shame for me to shoot my springfield all by myself. I'll be there with ice cold water in my camelbak.

The range opens at 9am. So let's expect everyone to start rolling in around 11am.

WRT the HEAT why not start at 9, get the shooting done and bug out before the real misery. BTW current forecase calls for 95 on saturday. With the current head that number is likely to represent forcaster hopeful optimistisim as any real science.

At this point I'm a "definate maybe" which is better than my previous status of "probably unlikely".

That day's my birthday, and I'm vacillating. I might go try to have better luck pig hunting than I had last weekend. I told all my neighbors I'd throw a big BBQ for my big 5-0, and I'd rather do it with wild pork, if possible.
