safety with lead

You're right, Ranger. The best part is that my guys did all the work while I was in the new shipping building boxing up production. It's so loud in the shop I hate to go in there anymore and besides, they always run me out anyhow.

Seriously, it's great having guys who have been with you for a while and have learned every in-and-out and upon whom you can rely.

This has gone way off-topic, so let me say that my lead level had climbed to 32 a little over two years ago (I check it at least annually) so I went extreme with the gloves, ventilation, and general awareness of the hazards. 3 months later it had dropped to the low 20's and the last time I checked it was down to 17, which is where it started when I opened the business in '06 and had a baseline heavy metals test.

Great to hear Brad. Really, we all want you alive and well ... for our selfish reasons  :D

Seriously, I say safety first if you handle/work with inhalable lead.

For me, I don't wear gloves when reloading lead bullets, but wash my hands well afterwards.

Yeah , I know ,I used to use the sinkers for slugging cyls. & bores , not nomo !!!!

I cast my own shot to fish with when I use it , I mostly use some pure lead ribbon (it keeps the line away from the redworm) .

Pan fishin I use a #10 swivel & a mustad #4 wire hook !
