Just wanted to say that I noticed that Renegadebuck has posted that his next batch of AR15 magazine adapters for the Saiga .223 are available and ready to ship. http://www.gunco.net/forums/f279/new-machined-adapter-223-a-47461/index17.html . My adapter has performed flawlessly. If you can do a little minor work, it's well worth being able to shoot AR15 magazines in the Saiga .223. And it doesn't take away from the originality. You can still shoot OEM/Surefire style magazine.

Can you post a pic of your adapter. I am still interested in the adapters but am unwilling to do business with someone as unreputable as Magnolia state armory (MSA) thus I'm interested in the renegade buck adapter. Pics from various viewpoints (perhaps in and out of the weapon) would be greatly appreciated.

I could, but if you go to the link I posted, then go to Page 1 of the thread, you can see pictures of his adapter (Prior to powder coating), then pictures of it on the rifle.. They're pretty accurate pictures. He's been producing these adapters for more than a year and a half. Those pictures are of the earlier batches, but the design is still the same. It's just that he will make about 100 of them, and then sell them. Months later, he will run out of them, and build another batch. It's not his full time job, so he doesn't run through thousands of these. But he is very reputable. I've never met him personally, but he was there for me step by step when I had lots of questions. The thread has about 17 pages, but just about everything anyone could think of asking him, is covered there. He's just on another batch now. He had to find a new machinist to build the most recent build, because the old machinist went out of business. But he has finished getting the individual parts built; he has put them all together; he's had them powdercoated; and he's tested them and they're ready for sale. Read the thread. I think all your answers will be covered. If not, just add an additional post on the end of the thread, and Renegadebuck will either respond there or PM you.

It wants me to register for that forum.
There are worse forums to be a member of.

At Gunco, you can learn how to make 7.62x25 AKs, 9mm AKs, 7.62x54R AKs, and many other more wild variants.

Gunco is a gun builder's forum.

Oh yeah, you've got all the regular forum stuff that goes on, too.

If I join and see that then my pocket book will be negatively affected. I put pen to paper the other day on my planned S308 build and it was not good. A 7.62x25 AK does sound incredibly cool though. In fact, just reading it makes me want to make one. You see why I am hesitant to register.
