I bought a factory converted Saiga 7.62x39 only problem is the front end has not been converted yet any tips, links to help. Would be greatly appreciated. I've built many AR uppers and lowers but I'm new to the Saiga. I mainly want to get American wood on it a slant muzzle break and would love to find a replacement pin for the gas block that does not stick out 3/16 of an inch on each side

Does it matter if the gas tube is ported or not?
Sorry, I don't know much about the SAIGA 7.62X39 stuff but you can always contact Dinzag Arms with any questions and I'm sure he'll break it all down for you.

When it comes to SAIGA stuff he really is at the top of the conversion game. He basically pioneered converting SAIGAS and the custom parts needed to use wood furniture on them.

There is a really good 4 or 5 part series on you tube on the gear obsession channel. He covers it in great detail. I found it very informative.

No. Guy on Youtube demo'd an AK shooting without a gas tube and it worked fine as the tube is more of a "guide channel" than a sealed chamber.
