Okay, most of us know about the Savage 10ML Smokeless powder Muzzleloader. My question is would surplus Hodgdon H870 or AA8700 be a good idea in this rifle. I would think it would be an excellent powder in a gun like this because the limiting factor of these two powders is the case capacity and this would not be a factor in a muzzleloader. The slow burning rate of this powder would allow large powder charges to push heavy bullets to high velocities while maintaining relativly low pressures. Would these powders be good ideas in this rifle and does anyone have any idea how much would be a safe load with heavy Sabot bullets?
