savage 111 scope pkg vs. savage edge

What is the difference between the savage 111 and savage edge. I like the edge because of the camo (i like camo guns for some reason). But its cheaper than the 111 is. In my experience camo guns are more expensive than black finish guns in the same model.

Which would you take. Savage 111 scope combo no accutrigger for $399 or savage edge camo with no scope for $399 (obviously i would put a scope on it).

Every local Wal-Mart around here has the 111 w/accutriger and 3x9x40 scope for $386 I bought one and I am very pleased with it, just make sure that the scope rings are tightend down.........I spent all day chasing that zero LOL. I would take the 110/111 any day over the Edge. The 110 action is proven itself over and over again. Aftermarket support is on par with the Rem 700 and the trigger is very good (second only to Tikka IMHO). The Edge has a sloppy creepy 7.5 Lbs trigger and while it has good out of the box accuracy, there is no aftermarket for it. Oh BTW my model 110 in 270 had the best recoil pad I have ever shot right out of the box, the Edge has a cheesy feeling hard rubber pad. So to anwser your question 110/111 without a doubt, unless you are willing to spend the extra $100 on a Tikka

I second the 111/110. The price on the Edge sounds a little high to me. I've seen them for around $329 +/- . Could have swore I saw them at Wal-mart for $299 non camo thou.

I just paid $389 for my Savage 10 .308 with accu-trigger and scope.
