New LH Savage 110 Tactical rifle (6.5CM) came with a thru-crack in one side the bolt handle casting.

Savage sent a new handle under warranty, as I requested.

Efforts to remove the bolt assembly screw (BAS) cracked the other side of the bolt handle casting, which fell away, with the BAS unloosened.

Savage wants the whole rifle back, which is a PITA.

Before I clamp the bolt between soft vise jaws and get medieval on the BAS, I would like to know if maybe a left-hand Savage bolt has a left-hand BAS?

I can’t answer that question but I would say since Savage already knows about the damage then there will be nothing lost by damaging it a little more (or completely) in the effort to get the BAS out.

I am the OP. Unable to confirm the existence of a LH BAS for Savage 110, I concluded it was RH. Wrapped the bolt in friction tape and held it a a vise with aluminum jaws. Tightened until it wouldn't slip and put around 50 lbs on the end of a 5" Allen wrench, which did the trick. No marks on the bolt finish.

I suspect that that the bolt handle was slightly racked at the bolt end and Savage cracked the casting when it [over]tightened the BAS.
I will install a lift kit and use reusable threadlock (Vibra-Tite VC-3) on a thread or two of the BAS. In case the new one is also racked a bit, I will make the BAS snug but not tight.
