Savage Mk II question

I bought a Savage Mk II the other day from Wal-Mart, based on the good reviews I've read so far. I figured for $105.00, I could'nt really go wrong! This particular rifle does not have the accutrigger, however, and the trigger pull is not all that could be expected. What can be done to smooth it out, maybe lighten it a little? Is it too much to expect it to match the trigger on my K31? (Which I LOVE, except for the ammo price!!) In addition, is there a website where I can look up the serial #? Thanks in advance!

Howdy, I love my Mark-II with AccuTrigger but I also loved my older Mark-II without Accutrigger, which is what I traded in for the new Mark-II.
I suggest you checkout www.savageshooters.com. Lots of articles to read and helpful folks to help also. They've got your trigger fix too.
