Savage Model 10 BAS and 10 BAS/T

Just wondering if anyone has seen or fired the new savage Model 10 BAS or 10 BAS/T rifles. Cant even find a review on the web yet. Im really interested to see how these models go and if the the new bedding system improves the model 10 series already great accuracy

I'm sure they shoot great like all Savages, but I'm not sure what's up with the goofy stocks.

I think there is slightly too much railing on it, but besides that it looks awesome and I'm sure it shoots great as well.

To me, it looks too much like other stock systems, a bit too tacticool. Other than that, it should provide outstanding accuracy, and great ergos, it will just have to look funky while at it...

Just picked this one up yesterday at Vance's Shooters Supply in Columbus. Unbelievable rifle. Great ergonomics, and as usual, a great shooter. I have a model 10FP with an HS Precision stock on it in a .308, and I didn't think it got much better until I picked this one up. The cheek rest seems a bit flimsy, but it is still a suitable feature.

Stocks were made to be modular, and us AR parts. Looks to me like they need to be drilled out to lose some weight.

It definitely is not a light rifle!! Not something you will be carrying around hunting, it is a bench rest gun for sure. I would only suggest buying it if you want it for target shooting, or long range varmint shooting from a rest or bipod. It is an unbelievable rifle though, something different, and not to mention it looks mean.
