magazine spacer?

Nice looking rifle. I have a similar project, a 7.62 x 39 mm barrelled and sporterized carcano that I'm returning to its original M38 Cav. carbine configuration (keeping the new barrel, though).

Mine feeds pretty well, but I think would be improved by a similar spacer in the magazine. How did you set yours up?

You are doing good works here on earth and that will count in your favor. That is a great looking rifle.
 
Well, my wife left the camera at her parents' house so I'm forced to scan my latest target. 100 yard 3 round group using WWB 123 grain FMJ.

I just used two pins through the little bit of receiver that protrudes down towards the trigger group. I would highly suggest having a spacer welded like this:
