Hey guys,
I was hoping for a bit of help understanding SBR's. Specifically, the legality of the length on the Form 4.
So here's my understanding. Let's say you buy a 11.5" SBR. The stamp comes back and everything is good to go. Let's say you want to get another upper....a shorter 10.3" upper. So you sell the original 11.5" upper to fund the purchase of the 10.3" upper.
Now from what I gather, you can't go shorter than what's on your listed on your Form 4 (11.5"). Is this accurate? Or am I just completely lost?
Also, do you have to notify the ATF if you change lengths or caliber of your SBR? I read something that is wasn't mandatory or something like that.
Please correct me if I'm wrong and help me understand this whole deal...lol.
Thank you
