SC residents please write Rep Mark Sanford..

I just finished reading that five gun-control activists went to US Rep Mark Sanford's office yesterday to request that he support tighter gun control laws. If you live in South Carolina and especially if Sanford is your representative in Congress, please go to the NRA-ILA "Write Your Lawmakers" page and fire off a quick letter to him urging that he NOT support gun-control legislation currently being pushed by Michael Bloomberg and Barack Obama. Every one of us knows what will happen if we even so much as open the door a crack. Please take a few minutes to show him that you oppose these laws.

What I've done in the past is write down the name of the rep, his office phone # and the message that we're trying to get across (ex. tell him to OPPOSE LD 1243, SUPPORT LD 1643) and print out a bunch of cards and put them on the counter at my local gun shop (with their permission of course).

A nice touch is to make those cards in color -- so all they have to do is look at the mail and see how many protests have come in.

Who were they, Which organization did they represent, and where did you read about it. Such details would make better correspondence. Otherwise it's "Mark, I saw on the internet someone said you met some people from some organization".
