I found a Schrade hunting knife at a flea market for $50. It is used, but in excellent condition. I didn't see a name or model number on it, but it has about a six inch bowie-style blade, brass finger guard, imitation stag handle, and a nice tan leather sheath with a sharpening stone pouch. Is anyone familiar with this knife, or perhaps has one? Is $50 a fair price? Should I get it? Thanks.

If you posted a picture I could probably paint a better picture of it, or post a link to a picture of one like it or as close as possible. Best bet would be to look it up on the net and then go to several different places and see what its going for. If you feel like its worth half a C note, go for it. I don't own but 1 little shrade pocket knife I bought at a gunshow in sale for $10. I don't carry it, but its a sweet little knife. Shrades, much like Case XX and Buck, are classics. Last I checked they are not being made in the US anymore, so if its an older one, you might think about haggling it or just paying.
