Scored another vintage Single Six

Thats one of the best 22s you can own. I only have two now but have had several pass through my hands. I wish I had kept them all. I really shooting 22 mag rounds. Most don't and say they are no better than a 22lr. But they are wrong. I shot a brand new 55 gallon barrel with several 22mag rounds to make air holes for a burn barrel. The 22 mag easily went through both sides and off into the woods. The 22lr would go through one side but just barely dented the other side.

If I were lost in the woods I would like to have a single six with both cylinders and a supply of ammo. As long as I could find game, water and build a shelter with fire I would be OK I think.

Now what you need to find is a single six in 32 mag. Thats the perfect round for that frame size. I have two of them. Both with 5.5" barrels and adjustable sights.

Congratulations on the new acquisition and I like the worn look of that leather. As we all know, you can't go wrong with a Single-Six or the younger versions like the Single-Ten. I have them spanning several decades and they are included in my will at the suggestion of young relatives. (Glad they are willing to wait. :D )

For Single-Six enthusiasts, keep an eye out for one in 32 magnum. I treasure mine, especially with 32 long rounds.

Nice acquisition, especially with the holster and belt included! I have had a number of Single Sixes over the years, including a couple of .32 H&R Magnums (one Single Six and one Single Six Bisley). Was thinking about getting another one when a great friend of mine gifted his vintage Single Six to me! He had used it when running his trap lines and when he got out of the business he gave the gun to me.

No telling how many rounds have been through it as he bought it used at a gun show. Took a bit of cleaning up (and a little bit of Flitz), but it turned out pretty decently. Added a NOS factory pair of grips and a .22 Magnum cylinder to complete the make-over!

If I ever see one in the flesh it'll be mine. Been looking for a while with no success.

Unfortunately I passed on a 32 mag SS a couple of years ago. It was at a great price, and in excellent condition but I didn't have any interest in the 32 at the time.
Dang if I could go back and kick my own a## for that mistake.
